Brynn tends to act rather than think, but she backs up that bullheadedness with an uncanny ability to slither out from under any consequences. You don’t want to cross Brynn Tessek, but you don’t especially want her on your side either.

Dean Ventrassi always has a handle on everything happening at his school, and if you think he doesn't know about something, that usually means he just doesn't want you to know he knows.

Karim Kronfli
Karim has been a professional performer for more than 20 years, originally working as a medieval entertainer. After many years on stage he decided to try directing and now he loves directing as much as performing.
Trained at City Lit in London after first working behind the microphone at BFBS, he specializes in narration and audio drama. Now he works almost exclusively in audio and listeners may recognize as Karim as “Simon Fairchild” from The Magnus Archives, “Walter ‘Troubles’ Mix” from What’s The Frequency, and “Bruce Mercer” from A Scottish Podcast as well as dozens of other shows.

The rare non-Oswerian on the institute’s faculty, Leonard hails from the neutral island nation of Zev. He tows the line with the students, teaching what he knows to be propaganda and trying to invite independent thought where he can. Leonard's true loyalties remain shrouded in mystery, but it seems clear he has an agenda- and influencing one Brynn Tessek seems to be an important part of it.

They also have a lot of questions about friendship, and social interaction in general, and everyone else seems to intrinsically know the answers but no one can articulate them, which makes high school exceptionally hard to navigate.

Bruce used to be a hot-shot detective, but for reasons not entirely clear he now finds himself as chief security officer of the Institute. Bruce is tough on the kids when he needs to be, but he’s not immune to the occasional bout of sentimentality- and he seems to have developed a bit of a soft spot for Jenna.

Allegra received their BA in Theatre from the University of Arkansas in 2016 and completed the Professional Conservatory program at the Stella Adler Art of Acting Studio in 2019. They have experience both on and off the proverbial stage, including time as an actor, writer, technical director, AD and production manager. No one knows more about Metamagic than Dr. Ungala. She literally wrote the book on the subject. It is a very long book. Pem might be the only one to successfully get all the way through it. An avowed atheist, Ungala has little patience for either the official Oswerian religion or any of the practices it stamped out.

Luke brings his training with the Denver Center for Performing Arts and work with various voice over professionals with him on every project, using these skills to craft a voice unlike many others. He's worked in a variety of productions: from documentaries, like with EntertainMe Production's The Curse of the Kennedy's, to commercial and corporate videos like with Coffman Engineers, to audio dramas like Cybernautica: Breakwall & Undertow. Of course, when Luke isn't acting, he's taking in the sights of Colorado, either through hikes, fishing trips, or landscape painting. He's a big fan of cooking, and regularly takes time out of his day to delve deep into music production and audio engineering.
